I am a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florida (expected graduation date Fall 2025), specializing in Biomaterials for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. My work centers on the mechanical and biological characterization of nucleic acid-collagen complexes (NACCs), in an effort to explore their potential as next-generation biomaterial platforms for clinical applications. This research is guided by a commitment to patient-focused design, hoping to contribute directly to enhanced, clinically sound outcomes. My side project involves investigating the impact of flow on endothelial cells under microgravity conditions.
My academic journey spans the UK (BSc Engineering, University College London) and the USA (MS Applied Bioengineering, University of Washington), providing a global perspective that I bring into my research and collaborative efforts. I also have one year of industry experience at 2 medical device companies in the Greater Boston area (Abiomed- Johnson & Johnson MedTech and AccessVascularInc.).
Following successful graduation from my PhD, I would like to work in the medical device or space industry.Â
